Hello everyone,
I am new to gardening and to forums like this. I am looking for amaranth or ? to grow. I have an acre to make beautiful and would like some ideas or suggestions. I like butterflies and hummingbirds to hang around. I have quite a few older plants on the acre, bridal wreath, figs and running roses. I am told all are well over fifty years old. I would like plants with quirky blooms or vibrant color or old fashioned varieties of plants. Anyone have any ideas or seeds available?

Hi and welcome to this great site!
If you want to attract hummingbirds to your garden grow Pineapple Sage - Salvia elegans. They will go crazy over it!

They like Texas prairie sage as well...it's a prolific bloomer--I've had it for years and never has it gone dormant. Weird, hunh?
